In the extracted folder, you can see two separate folders for configuration files of TCP and UDP servers.

Step #3: Now you need to access OpenVPN config files directory in terminal. Open terminal, and first enter ‘sudo bash‘ to run the next commands at root. Then write these commands.

cd Downloads
cd Fastestvpn_ovpn

cd UDP_Files (OR cd TCP_Files whichever protocol you want to connect to)

Press “Enter”

Step #4: Write ls and press “Enter”.

Step #5: Now write openvpn --config [Your desired server] from the server list above.

To disconnect from VPN, press Ctrl+C in same terminal or in another terminal type sudo killall openvpn

To connect to another server, repeat Step 3 to 7.

Method 2: Setup VPN on Mint Linux via Network Manager

Step #1: Download FastestVPN Config Files for OpenVPN TCP and UDP from here.

Step #4: Click on “+” sign

Step #5: Click on “VPN”

Step #6: Select “Import from File”

Step #7: Now go to configuration files which you downloaded in Step 1. Open any folder, TCP or UDP.

Step #8: Select your desired VPN server location and click on “Open””

Step #9: Now enter your FastestVPN username and Password. After that, click on “Add”

Step #10: Now select the VPN profile you just created and turn ‘ON’ its switch
